The Radar Station originated in 2017 from the musical collaboration between brothers Brent Buckler (vocals, guitar) and Sander Cliquet (guitar, backing vocals, synths) and created a signature mix of indie rock with cinematic soundscapes. Their sound is always full and intense, mixed with raw emotion, inspired by artists like The National, The War on Drugs, Sam Fender, Nick Cave and Big Thief. In 2020 they won De Nieuwe Lichting, the most highly regarded music competition in Belgium, and launched their debut album Life Inside A Tornado. Since their victory, several singles received airplay on Studio Brussel, Radio 1, ..., they held sold-out shows in venues like AB, Trix and Het Depot and stood on the stages of, among others, Rivierenhof, Dranouter and Labadoux. The Radar Station clearly left its mark on the Belgian indie scene. Since then, work has been passionately going on behind the scenes on a second album. After a few years of reflection and late-night writing sessions in the south of France, The Radar Station is back. Their second album Birds Of Choice, produced by Koen Gisen, reflects a more mature and straightforward band.
