Animals in St. Amandus Church

In the Sint-Amanduskerk, you will find many depictions of animals. Pigeons, fish, farm animals, wild animals... you can even find the dragon there. In the Christian faith, these animals often have a special meaning. During a guided tour past church furniture, stained glass windows, and icons, we explain the animal symbolism using texts from the Bible, apocryphal texts, and legends. Guided tours every first Sunday of the months May through August from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
