Umi - Makiko Ito & Wonderland Collectief

With a lot of experience in his pocket, Makiko Ito has made a new performance: Umi, Japanese for 'sea'. The performance stands as a symbol for the origin of all life. Umi is a platform for babies to sing, dance, transform, swim, shine, leave, wonder, sleep, to be free. This interactive dance performance is a magical game, clownish, dance-like and musical. The dancers and musicians walk around, roll, slide, jump and surround you with sounds. Together they improvise on the reactions of the very young audience. On the spot, a moving, unique dialogue arises between artists, babies and toddlers.
