Roeshoofd is the company around Simon De Vos and Lukas Bulteel. For TRAUM , they are inspired by the cult graphic novel Maus by Art Spiegelman. Simon De Vos wrote a new theater text for this. Siem, a young thirty-something, is at a crossroads in his life. His career as a theater director is not getting off the ground, his relationship with Lucia is under pressure, and the recognition he desires from his father Garnik is not coming. For his new theater performance, Siem decides to record interviews with his father in the hope of finding answers to questions about a complex and painful war past. What follows is a reconstruction in which he tries to find out who he is today, and above all, who he wants to be. By using animal masks, TRAUM becomes an absurd story about a great war between Foxes and Rabbits, a frame story of events driven by music by Tim Vanhamel. TRAUM is a search for what traces a beastly past leaves on the generations that come after. Theater FroeFroe creates the animal heads. Geert Van Rampelberg, Lukas Bulteel, Evelien Bosmans and Lotte Valckenaers perform. Tim Vanhamel (Millionaire) lays a nostalgic musical blanket over it. *With free introduction at 7:30 PM.
