Mud spot - I think it's called older

Geert-Jan, Pino, Jacques, Josse, and Gerritje seek parental intimacy and authority in each other and in themselves. They reflect, protest, fantasize, idealize, and question what 'parent' entails. They give shape to each other's wishes and lack. Gradually they discover how they themselves have become a parent, for themselves, for each other, even for their own parents. They fill the void, see how it constantly reshapes itself, and find parenthood in unexpected things: in the light, in the dog, the cracks of the couch, the dust that blows up from the vacuum cleaner. With this performance, they want to offer a safety net. A place for thoughts, a touch, a comfort, and a laugh, for everyone who grows up/grew up without a parental figure. With ‘Ik denk dat het ouder heet’, collective Modderspot (Mira Cole, Winter De Cock, Robbe Embrechts, Hanna Mensink & Seppe Somers) makes a theater performance about parenthood.
