Kanaal (Canal) takes the audience to a bank. A canal or waterway has often come into being through human intervention and leads water and people from a to b, but at the same time, it separates the left from the right bank. With binoculars, spectators look to the other side, where a row of houses forms the decor. What begins as an intimate concert by the musicians of Zwerm slowly unfolds into an unexpected theater spectacle.
Accidental events are given a new charge by the live music and the unique setting. From a safe distance, you can shamelessly peek at the neighbors, their green grass, and their own habits.
Kanaal is a concert that results in a performance, a performance that ends in a party.
