Our experienced guide is Chris Van denbempt, former forest ranger of the Meerdaalwoud and Heverleebos. He knows - after all those years - every spot in the forest like the back of his hand and will show us the Meerdaalwoud as we have never seen or looked at it before, with facts about fauna and flora, but also the history of the forest. It will undoubtedly be a fascinating, educational, and pleasant midsummer walk. Duration of the walk: one and a half to two hours.
For many years, Chris has also used his rich nature experience in his non-profit organization ‘Waaranders’, under the wings of the Koning Boudewijnstichting, where extraordinary people (people with a psychological or physical vulnerability) and ordinary outdoor people are welcomed in groups or individually to experience 'a day in nature' together. Omdat Chris the walk is guided completely free of charge, the proceeds of our walk go entirely to this exceptional charity.
