1994. Kurt Cobain dies, the first PlayStation is in the stores and in a small Flemish village four girls are born. In their teenage years they help out in Bowling Buffalo, at thirty they still work there. They have become part of the interior: they still smell like teen spirit, play Crash Bandicoot during breaks and discuss their love lives between the milkshakes and cigarettes. When one of them suddenly announces that she is leaving, a story emerges about ambition, loyalty and the question of whether you should dig up old dreams or just let them rest. For years they lived in a kind of timelessness, under the soft light of the bowling alleys and their own imagination. Now that someone unexpectedly introduces the idea of 'finiteness', all the pins fall in record time. ‘Bowling Buffalo’ is a Wildcard performance by Compagnie Cecilia.
