With their passion, knowledge, and stories, they help keep this special monument alive. Tijdens Open Monumentendag therefore likes to put these volunteers in the spotlight. Book a “date with a volunteer” and discover Kasteel Beauvoorde through the eyes of someone who knows the place through and through. Let yourself be taken to a favorite place in the monument, listen to personal stories and surprising anecdotes, and get an exclusive look behind the scenes. Not a classic guided tour but a unique meeting that lets you experience the castle in a completely different way. Discover the participating volunteers and book your date on the Herita website. And count down to September 13 for your date in Kastel Beauvoorde on Open Monumentendag! The castle can also be visited freely without reservation. Practical info: A maximum of 5 people can participate per date. Private dates are not possible :) The date lasts about 30 minutes. Before or after, you can visit the castle, the park, and the visitor center and the shop at your own pace. The content of the date varies per volunteer but will always include a visit to their favorite place in combination with personal stories. Accessibility: Kasteel Beauvoorde is unfortunately not accessible to wheelchair users as a historic building. The reception square, the shop, and the visitor center, on the other hand, are fully wheelchair accessible. There is also an MIVA toilet available.
