Wandeling Vallei of the Bellebeek and Voetbeek

For our summer walk, we treat you to a large variety of fauna and flora. We start at a meadow that is a magnet for lapwings. Are you counting along? A piece of farmland, a pilgrimage site, the toad crossing points, narrow footpaths and roads, welcome to Roosdaal!! We walk through forest area with dense undergrowth and pass the Bellebeek with its wet hay meadow. The chapel of Our Lady of Halle by the stream will be a nice resting point on our route. At the stream, we see that locks have been built and a dike has been constructed. Where there used to be mainly meadows, there are now mainly forests. A beautiful example, therefore, of water management and upgrading of nature in Roosdaal. We finish at our starting point: for those who want, on the terrace of the Koetshuis.
