Natuur.huis De Kruitkamer Fort 3 Borsbeek, Antwerp
€5
Gradually summer is coming to an end and it won't be long before the bats go into hibernation. On Saturday 26 September from 6.30 PM we will open the gates of the Kruitkamer again for the Vleermuizenavond. There will be continuous informative presentations that you can view at your own pace. Our volunteers are on standby to provide explanations. At 7 PM two walks will depart during which explanations will be given about the usefulness of bats, their lifestyle and why the Fort is so suitable as a bat reserve. We will also walk through the corridors of the Fort and who knows, we might already discover early sleepers (which we of course disturb as little as possible). Bring a flashlight and provide sturdy walking shoes that are resistant to moisture (with the current drought we do not expect wet corridors). If it should still rain heavily in the coming weeks, boots can be useful.
Leden van Natuurpunt can participate for free (provided you log in with your membership number upon registration), but we do ask that you register so that we have an idea of the size of the groups. We ask other participants for a contribution of 5 euros, which we will deduct from your membership fee if you become a member on the spot. Children from the family who are under 12 years of age do not need to register, but an adult must accompany them (who does register). Natuurpunt applies a family membership, so anyone registered at the same address as someone with a membership card can also register for free.
