75 years Banneuxwijk. From heathland to city district.

Around 1950, the beginning was made of what is now the Banneux district. Barely 3 streets large, these new houses had to give young people the chance to acquire their own place; the housing shortage was great in that post-war time. The arrival of Philips and Keramo in the late 50s gave “the district behind the bridge” a huge boost. This and other stories await you during a nice walk through the district.
