When words are given a voice… Stephanie Calant Auteur & founder of Story on Maat Stephanie Calant writes to connect. She began her career as a primary school teacher, where she worked for years with children with special needs. From those experiences and childhood memories grew three children's books: ‘The mouse and the cobra’ (2006), ‘Emilio & Margaux, will you be my friend?’ (2017) and ‘Emilio & Margaux, how do I find my-SELF?’ (2021). After a conscious career switch to personal assistant to the general director of university of applied sciences Howest, Stephanie found new inspiration for musings and considerations. These led to Tracks (2025). Andrea Croonenberghs recorded the English and Dutch audio and gave the texts voice and soul. From that collaboration grew Story on Demand: unique, personal stories that arise from conversations, memories and often unspoken words that seek a way out. Each story is written in the recognizable, poetic style of Calant. Croonenberghs brings them to life with her warm, empathetic voice.
