Every second Friday of the month you can enjoy live music. Local bands and musicians perform in Bar Stam. Start the weekend right! Autumn 2026: fri 11/09: Blue Giants - dark blue melodies Blue Giants is a three-piece alternative band from Antwerp consisting of Matthias Van den Broeck (guitar), Jasmin Branders (bass guitar), and Io Lemmens (vocals & keys). Bass and guitar converse with each other and look for music that reinforces the lyrics. Their music is influenced by artists like Daughter, Radiohead, Portishead, and The XX. fri 09/10: Zigghurath - ambient sound journey Zigghurath is the alter ego of Jolan Chen. This project originated around 2018 from the traces of various live bands (Grown Below, Lighthousing). Inspired by nature and spiritual experiences, introspective songs were created that manifested themselves in self-meditation and consciousness. This led to various experiments within the sound spectrum. A collection of compositions emerged that gave the project depth and opened it up more to the outside world. It emphasizes the existential and encourages listeners to participate in a musical journey that lays bare the inner soul. fri 13/11: Dexelle - addictive indie pop Dexelle is the band around Nicolas Dexelle. They bring unique, colorful pop with sturdy guitars. Thanks to a combination of blistering grooves, gleaming synthesizers, and dreamy vocals, the group creates a completely unique universe. Their debut record will be released next year, and they are coming to try it out in prime in Borgerhout. For fans of Tame Impala, Bowie, Suede… fri 11/12: Isak - no ordinary freak folk De Antwerpse vocalist and songwriter isak does not bring ordinary freak folk. Her songs balance between catchy melodies, trappy rhythms, parlando vocal lines, fragility, and swag. The lyrics are simultaneously absurd and recognizable, fueled by everyday scenes and a vivid memory. For listeners of Soko, Aldous Harding, Joanna Newsom, CocoRosie.
