Street Art & public art - De Mot-Couvreur (free)

Mon, 14 Sept 2026 · 16:00
Institut De Mot Couvreur, Brussels
Free
Did you know that the walls of your neighborhood speak to you and tell stories? Meet in front of the Institut De Mot-Couvreur for a stroll through the streets of the neighborhood... To rediscover them with a fresh look and spot monumental frescoes or small, discreet interventions. Art is everywhere! And much more than decoration, it is also a language, and sometimes a cry or a smile, a wink. Where does street art come from? Who are these artists who take over the walls? What does urban art say about our city, our lives, our neighborhoods? How does it contribute to transforming spaces? A lively, colorful stroll accessible to all, to (re)discover your neighborhood differently. For the visit on June 20, an illustrator will be present throughout the visit to collect your impressions of the neighborhood. Your testimonies will contribute to the creation of a narrative map. In this context, the visit may therefore be a little longer than expected. This visit is offered as part of the De Mot-Couvreur school contract thanks to the support of the City of Brussels and Perspective. Priority given to residents and neighbors.
