Aperitif concert in the library: Thomas Vanelslander Op Saturday October 24 the library welcomes Thomas Vanelslander and Joos Houwen for an atmospheric aperitif concert. Both musicians share a past in the band Helsinki, where solid rock took center stage. Their friendship persisted and for this special occasion they find each other back on stage in an intimate acoustic setting. Thomas Vanelslander is no stranger in the Belgian music landscape. Perhaps you already saw him at work with Gorki, Raymond van het Groenewoud, Arno, Daan of Amai Zeg Wauw. During this concert he brings his own Dutch-language songs, alternated with personal translations of songs that inspire him. Joos Houwen was previously active with among others Statue and The Tellers. His own songs move between psychedelic pop and indie rock, with influences from artists like Mac DeMarco, Beach House and The Beatles.
