Het Belgische duo Barnill Brothers consists of Ruben Hillewaere (originally from Oostduinkerke) and Barnabé Deliens. What started as a shared passion for American folk and great singer-songwriters grew in ten years into a solid musical project with more than 150 performances. In 2020, their debut album 'A Better Place' was released, produced by Douglas Firs. To promote the album, the duo traveled by bicycle through Belgium for a series of intimate performances, with which they further strengthened their name as a striking voice within the Belgian folk and indie scene. With their new album 'Shelter', the Barnill Brothers are taking a next step in their musical development and broadening their sound towards indie-folk, inspired by artists such as Andy Shauf, Villagers, Big Thief, and Elliott Smith. The album was well received by, among others, Radio 1. Expect beautiful folk songs with an enormous amount of soul!
