Socrates, the father of philosophy and also teacher of Plato, was the thorn in the side of the Athenian population. He encouraged them to think by ironically asking critical questions about everything they took for granted. And that was not appreciated: at seventy, he was charged and sentenced to the death penalty with the poison cup. In this theater monologue, the most legendary philosopher in history looks back on his life and thinking a few hours before his death. None other than Bruno Vanden Broecke plays the role of Socrates. And that he does this with much conviction and skill, we don't need to convince you of that anymore, right?
