Walking along landscape heritage (standard trees and hedges) in the beautiful Zammelen

Get to know the landscape heritage in beautiful Zammelen! Just like many other Haspengouw church villages, Zammelen is (was) surrounded by a belt of standard fruit orchards. Fruitwei Zammelen and Natuurpunt Toeteleer are organizing a standard tree walk along this valuable landscape heritage together. Jeroen Rappé van Tree-Hive, specialized in maintenance and management of standard fruit trees, guides the walk which will last approximately 2 hours. Following this, there is the festive inauguration of 5 meadow gates (briers) that were restored in the context of the 'Heritage Doers' project. More than nostalgic relics from the past, these 'briers' are the contemporary gatekeepers of the remaining open space in and around our village center. Everyone welcome!
