A heartless family drama based on a text by Tom Lanoye and Herman Brusselmans. About football, money, and lost dreams, where old friendships and intrigues flare up again. Sharp, witty, and painfully recognizable, on and off the field. De Canadeise Meur van Tom Lanoye and Herman Brusselmans Een heartless family drama full of humor about money, unattainable dreams, long-gone times, broken friendship — and ditto kneecaps. Koning Voetbal dominates the lives of supporters, journalists, board members, security services, and wives; the game determines and influences the plot through the drastic will of the Football Gods. Two former friends meet after years, two women are pawns of intrigue and gender roles, and a lonely father is the only one with a lined wallet. A story about football and about the domestic eating and drinking problems that are inextricably linked to that world. Seriousness and humor present, in two halves with consumption possibility during the break and especially during the analysis after the ‘match’. Verbrusseling: Guido Govaerts Regie: Dave Nauwelaerts Spel: Davy Van Stichel, Kathleen Seghers, Chloë Van Doorslaer, Geert Dehaes and Guido Goovaerts  Projectbeeld: GAL
