Rose and her older brother Samuel share a close, almost symbiotic bond. Sam is her confidant and her great role model. When a young woman accuses Sam of rape, Rose is suddenly drawn into a legal minefield. She is asked to testify in the investigation against her brother - a request that forces her to choose between loyalty and truth. As the case unfolds, Rose is confronted with doubts she has pushed away for a long time.

Commentaar
Een poignant drama that does not focus on the traumatic event itself, but on the emotional aftermath of it. The film fillets in a very striking way how sexual transgressive behavior suddenly becomes an even bigger and more difficult taboo to discuss when the perpetrator is close to you. Skillfully directed by the debuting Sarah Miro Fischer, immediately a new German arthouse voice to keep an eye on. The film premiered last year at the Berlinale, in the Panorama category - a festival favorite.
