Cultural Le Centre of Rixensart is an essential player in local life. For many years, it has offered a rich and accessible cultural program for all, mixing theater, music, cinema, circus and workshops for young and old. Through its activities, it pursues a fundamental mission: to promote access to culture, encourage creativity and strengthen social ties between residents. In this context, the cultural center is a major partner of the "Place aux artistes" event, a friendly and festive initiative that takes place outside its annual programming, between two seasons. This family day is distinguished by its open and accessible character: it is held outdoors, on the square, right in front of the cultural center. A symbolic and concrete way to bring culture out of its walls to meet the residents. The goal is clear: to reach a wider audience, including people who do not usually frequent cultural venues, and to arouse their curiosity. "Place aux artistes" is above all a moment of intergenerational sharing. Young and old can meet there around a festive program mixing street shows, entertainment and circus arts initiations. By creating this accessible, free and open-air event, the cultural center confirms its role as a local cultural engine, by bringing art and culture closer to all citizens. Programme Gratuit - Free admission 2:30 PM-5:00 PM: Welcome with music, artistic and playful entertainment for young and old - "Fishing for stories with the Bonimenteurs" & circus animation by the BW Circus School 3:00 PM: DJ set and hip-hop dance workshop Gzoo collective 4:00 PM: Show "Port side the seagull, starboard the lobster" (HurluBerlu&Cie) 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Closing party for young and old children Fishing for stories with the Bonimenteurs  La only duck fishing in the world where children do not win toys made in Taiwan but stories! In front of their attraction, straight out of Expo 58, the bonimenteurs invite young and old to fish. But catastrophe! An accident occurs and pieces of waste invade the river: cans, cans, plastics, .... You must first sanitize the water to free the ducks. Cooperative and ecological! After fishing, comes the time for stories... Young spectators are invited to discover behind the scenes: Seated on small benches, they attend an original story told using recycled objects by a bonimenteur, right in the middle of his living room. The Bonimenteurs company is a Namur company supported by Fédération Wallonie-Brussels and partner of the Walloon Brabant cultural center. It practices street theater to reach the spectator "without border or barrier" by creating a link with the public. It is committed to transforming current events into a pure moment of poetry. "Port side the seagull, starboard the lobster" - HurluBerlu&Cie Une burlesque, ecological and aquatic comedy. HurluBerlu&Cie is a collective of Walloon artists, supported by Fédération Wallonie-Brussels, which has one goal: to use humor to open minds and create gathering forms where the public takes an active part in the entertainment. This show was born from the artistic meeting between Loïc and Nicolas, two creators whose universes merged with an almost organic ease. From this collaboration appeared their alter-egos: Luc Hurlu and Jean Berlu, two eccentric and dreamy characters who embody a reflection on the creative act. As for Willy, the camper, he is both a touring vehicle but also a friend, a confidant, a colleague, an ally. It was important for us to give real value to this vehicle and make it exist beyond its simple function. Willy allows us total independence. In addition to being a bed, a companion, but also a set – this camper takes care of the show's management. DJ set and hip-hop dance workshop, Gzoo collective This non-profit organization based in Genappe, in Brabant Wallon, has set itself the mission of highlighting hip-hop culture using their bike converted into a "ghettoblaster soundsystem" In a "hip hop" style musical atmosphere, the collective will also offer a dance workshop open to all as well as a family party to end the afternoon in style!
