VOTEMOS

Sharp and biting comedy about prejudice and tolerance. In an apartment building in the center of Madrid, the Vereniging van Eigenaren meets to vote on the replacement of the elevator. Then it is also mentioned that one of the owners is going to rent his apartment to a colleague whom he knows uses medication in connection with mental health problems. This leads to commotion and escalates into bickering in which no one is spared. To reach a solution, a number of owners make an unusual proposal… The film VOTEMOS is based on the play “Votemos” and on the 12-minute short film “Votamos” from 2021 by the same director. The short film was awarded at several international film festivals at the time and was on the Oscar shortlist for Best Live-Action Short Film.
