Hollywood Porn Stars is a Belgian indie rock band formed in 2002 in Liège. Barely three months after their formation, they made a name for themselves by winning the Circuit contest and quickly signed with the French label Naïve, benefiting from international distribution. Their music combines raw energy, sharp guitar riffs, and melancholic melodies, with influences from bands like Sonic Youth, Pixies, and Nirvana.
Although the band was initially active for only six years, they experienced a meteoric career, stringing together over 300 concerts, the release of two albums and three EPs, and leaving a lasting mark on the European indie scene. Among their emblematic tracks, Actarus was widely broadcast on European radios and on MTV, while Starwest and Fugitive are still regularly used for TV background music and soundtracks. After this intense period, the members invested themselves in side projects, notably Piano Club, My Little Cheap Dictaphone or an active involvement in the indie label JauneOrange.
