From Wednesday, July 29 to Wednesday, August 5, Filmfestival Oostende and TAZ will show the documentary 'Team Rudy' daily in Kinepolis Oostende. When actor Rudy Morren is diagnosed with Parkinson's, his close-knit group of friends decides not to stand on the sidelines. They form Team Rudy: a group of friends who take on the fight together, with humor, creativity, and above all, a lot of warmth. Regisseur Nic Balthazar does not bring a classic documentary, but a surprising, intimate, and often particularly witty portrait of what it means to take care of each other when life suddenly takes a different turn. A film about friendship, solidarity, and the power of connection. In addition to the personal story, 'Team Rudy' also takes a look at Parkinson's, the impact of neurodegenerative disorders, and the importance of care, for those who become ill and for those who help carry the burden daily. After several screenings, there will be a follow-up discussion with Nic Balthazar and guests from the film. On July 30, Rudy's birthday, we will make the screening an extra festive edition.
