This year, KMeo celebrates its 10th anniversary!
To celebrate this decade of theater, improvisation, creation, and encounters, our adult students take to the stage during two festival weekends: from June 12 to 14 and from June 19 to 21.
On the program: original creations, offbeat universes, characters in crisis, mysterious gardens, Shakespeare, pretenses, multiple identities… and many emotions.
*New this year*: the theater performances are moving to Théâtre Mercelis in Ixelles!
And the improv shows will take place at Le Trac in Auderghem.
THEATER
–> Théâtre MERCELIS : Rue Mercelis, 13 – 1050 Ixelles
“Croix de bois, croix de fer”
June 12 at 7 p.m. & June 13 at 9 p.m.
It seems that anyone who claims to have never lied is just telling one more lie. Really?
What is certain is that there is no shortage of good reasons to lie.
Enough to make the world a theater, where every being plays a role to write their truth.
“Ce qu’un jardin nous dit”
June 12 at 9 p.m. & June 14 at 2 p.m.
A garden, from dawn to the end of the night: refuge and trap at the same time. Like a loop. It rustles under the foliage, it whispers too close, it stumbles while laughing.
Characters trampling, lives poorly adjusted, funny, cruel, lives too human.
The earth is an accomplice: it keeps the traces, the falls, the confessions.
We enter this garden — and yet the show begins when we think we are leaving it.
“Je tremble”
June 13 at 7 p.m. & June 14 at 4 p.m.
First evening of a brand new show titled Je tremble.
Two presenters bring candidates, carefully chosen, to tell their most intimate confessions.
They dance, the atmosphere is joyful, festive… then they realize that all this might just be a sick game. That they are not there to be listened to or considered, but only to serve an obscure production.
“Qui es-tu, toi ?”
June 19 at 7 p.m. & June 20 at 9 p.m.
How do we answer this question?
What do we say to introduce ourselves?
Where do we start?
What defines us?
A dive into the multiple facets of our identities.
A puzzle of scenes to question the boxes in which others put us… or in which we sometimes lock ourselves.
“Et si on jouait Hamlet ?”
June 19 at 9 p.m. & June 21 at 2 p.m.
A company of young actors is putting on Hamlet. The first rehearsals are inconclusive… Nothing works.
The director, overwhelmed, loses her temper and little by little the troupe falls apart.
The power of stories, the strength of Hamlet's text, dreams of theater, the bonds…
Will this be enough for this troupe to manage to finish its project?
“Courage, fuyons !”
June 20 at 7 p.m. & June 21 at 4 p.m.
What is hidden behind the cracks of the varnish and the beautiful facades?
Between the desire for elsewhere and the need to flee, the show explores our escapes and questions what they reveal about us, our relationships, and the world.
IMPRO
–> Le Trac: Rue Albert Meunier 110, 1160 Auderghem
Samedi 20 & Sunday, June 21
Sessions at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m.
