Since 2015, British singer-songwriter Charlie Cunningham has been steadily building an impressive career. In 2025, he performed his album In Light with a full band at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels. In 2026, he returns to the core: solo, and musically back to his early years in Spain, where he refined his guitar technique. Intimacy and craftsmanship Cunningham is renowned for his understated, intimate songs, in which melancholy and rhythm subtly reinforce one another. Playing both piano and nylon-string guitar, he creates a warm and distinctive sound that comes into its own in intimate venues. Despite being dyslexic – which made reading music almost impossible – he still obtained a music degree. That perseverance took him to Seville, where he immersed himself in flamenco music for three years, working intensively on his guitar technique. Since then, he has released three albums and four EPs, together accounting for more than half a billion streams. In Light His latest album, In Light, is a radiant record featuring softly pulsating, organic productions and floating melodies, showcasing his masterful guitar work. The introspective lyrics are deeply moving and strongly resonate with listeners.
