Caro grew up in the countryside, in exchanges tinged with local patois, not far from her mother's fridge truck. In her family, they are butchers-charcutiers from mother to daughter, a heritage that she will plant there, dreaming of other stages than those of her dear countryside. Thus begins the great journey of social mobility, where she is accompanied as in a zany remake of The Wizard of Oz, by Robin and some crucial encounters: a chameleon in burn-out with sausage-fingers, a cowgirl spaceship pilot, and a video that will represent in turn the mother and the childhood friends. Multi-Wourst proposes to speak differently about the passage from one social class to another, not as the abandonment of one's own or a flight forward but as an epic towards one's own desire, with gratitude for what we have been offered. Collage, puns, poetry, and quirky humor are the language that Carole Gantner has chosen to tell her odyssey. The different versions of the actress cross on stage, the realities juxtapose: she summons all those she could have been and the one she wishes to become. In a singular and very assumed aesthetic, between pop culture and classical references, however, this creation speaks less of a singular path than of the conjunctures that make it possible. The young author has fun between documentary and absurd fiction. Here, the individual path is more a pretext than a subject in itself, to address the notions of privilege and social determinism. In co-presentation with the Théâtre de la Vie.
