MA Festival: Extended Music Collective & Siebe Thijs: Bach

Extended Music Collective and Younger than Jesus Siebe Thijs depart during this concert from the theme that is still current today in Bachs Cantate BWV 39, Brich dem Hungrigen dein Brot, a cantata about how we must help others in our society. Together with pop-jazz singer-songwriter Rebecca Driesmans they translate the cantata from different angles. Sometimes you recognize the original work very clearly, but let yourself also be surprised by new music that starts from the recognizable notes of Bach. With music by J. S.
