In the afterlife, souls are given one week to decide where they will spend the rest of their 'eternity'. Nieuwkomer Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) is confronted there with the impossible choice between husband Larry (Miles Teller), with whom she spent her whole life, and first love Luke (Callum Turner), who died young in a war and has waited decades for her arrival. A bittersweet battle between the two men to win Joan's heart (again) follows, and gives a heavenly new twist to the concept of a 'love triangle'. Eternity is an imaginative, nostalgic, and romantic comedy that plays with the question: how – and with whom – would you want to spend the rest of your 'life'?
