Something I knew from an early age had to come out. Because I had to follow speech therapy to make my voice sweeter, I enrolled in a stand-up comedy course in the hope that I would then dare to use my new voice.\nDuring my transition, I wrote a stand-up comedy act in which I tell my journey with a healthy dose of self-mockery. The most hilarious fragments are simultaneously bittersweet, sharp and touching. (or so they say...)\n\nJeroen Dyck took his first steps into the comedy world in 2022 during the Comedy Talent Award in Utrecht. Because people laughed at least once during those five minutes, he considered this outing a success.\nMeanwhile, Jeroen has been doing comedy for three years and was a finalist in 2023 for Who will be the very first city comedian of Antwerp?, a one-time contest that no one ever knew took place. Afterwards he toured Flanders with Get Up Stand Up, was a finalist of the Lunatic Comedy Award in 2025 and won the jury prize in the first edition of the Amai Comedy Traject competition.
