Summer Films 2026: you're coming too, right?
In good weather, we show the film outside and settle into the idyllic setting. Just like last year, this year we are heading to the renovated site of the Stoomzagerij on Heistraat (Vorst-Meerlaar) for our film evenings in August. The weather cannot be a spoilsport here: in case of rain, we move inside and create our own cinema hall there! Admission is free and advance reservation is not necessary.
Bring your own chair or seat, then you are sure of your seat! There is also no bar present, so feel free to bring your own drink and snack. Also know that it can cool down in the evening, so a blanket or extra sweater are not an unnecessary luxury!
In good weather, the film starts at nightfall; in bad weather, we show the film inside and start at 9:00 PM. Keep an eye on the Facebook channels of the municipality of Laakdal and Bib van Laakdal for this!
About the film Julian:
1h31 - Belgian-Dutch film by Cato Kusters with Nina Meurisse, LAurence Roothooft, Rosalia Cuevas
Julian and Fleur are two women who are madly in love with each other. They decide to get married in the twenty-two countries where marriage between women is permitted. With this ambitious and, in their eyes, necessary 'Project 22', they want to draw attention to equal marriage rights in a positive way. But after their fourth wedding in Paris, they are forced to stop their project.
