At the heart of the Micro Belgian Fries Museum Brussels
Located in Forest, the Micro Belgian Fries Museum Brussels (rue des Alliés 242, 1190 Brussels) is an intimate, passion-driven space dedicated to Fritkot Culture. Through its unique collection, Home Frit’ Home tells the story of Belgian fries: their origins, preparation, myths, chip-shop keepers and appearances in humour, art and everyday life.
A fry TV and a micro “frituur cinema” - featuring reports and short films - join Hugues Henry, “fritologist” and author of the book «Carrément frites», in guiding you through this tender, crispy and unmistakably Belgian world!
About “Quotidiens singuliers” by Alfred Michel Fabry
After “BE Lowbrow” in 2018, Alfred Michel Fabry returns to the Home Frit’ Home gallery with “Quotidiens singuliers”. This original exhibition presents his oil paintings on canvas for the first time, alongside a series of pencil drawings.
The canvases in the series “Tentatives de titiller le nerf optique” play with the way we see: an ordinary scene conceals another, a dream slips into reality, and one detail can make the image shift. “On ne choisit pas sa famille”, meanwhile, brings together pencil drawings - humorous, tender or gently biting - devoted to family and its sometimes unexpected characters…
“Quotidiens singuliers”, our new exhibition by Alfred Michel Fabry, can be discovered at the heart of the Micro Belgian Fries Museum Brussels during these free open days.
