Someone's sister - Mira Bryssinck / Par Hasard & VIERNULVIER

In her intimate play Iemands zus, Mira Bryssinck explores the impact of disabilities on family life. Based on interviews with people with disabilities and their siblings, intimate conversations with family members, clippings from old scrapbooks and evocative documentary footage, Bryssinck explores the grey areas between receiving care and providing care, and how this shapes relationships. What is it like to grow up with a disability alongside a sibling without a disability? How does society view this, and how do families reflect on it? Based on these conversations, Bryssinck has written a (fictional) story about two sisters. On stage, a cinematic coming-of-age story unfolds, accompanied by the music of Simon Raman.
