Pulse Pulse is all around us—in the rhythm of our steps, the beating of our hearts, the quiet flow of life itself. This program of four works invites the audience to feel the living, underlying rhythm that gives the music its flow, energy, and vitality, each in its own unique way. Featuring works by Robert Schumann, Malcolm Arnold, Astor Piazzolla, and Joseph Horovitz, the repertoire walks the audience through a journey of different emotions and experiences of rhythm—from the lyrical and tender, to the driving and energetic, to the sensual and playful.
