80th Braderie of Braine-l'Alleud

La Braderie de Braine-l’Alleud is celebrating its 80th edition this year! Throughout the entire first weekend of September, the city center will come alive in a festive atmosphere with shops, musical and artistic entertainment, associative discoveries, convivial spaces, and numerous activities for the whole family. Hours: Saturday, September 5: from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 6: from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Le Village Provençal will also be back with its gourmet specialties and its warm atmosphere. The event will also mark the official launch of the 2026-2027 season of the House of Culture and the POP Cultural Center. Un Village cultural in the heart of the Braderie Installrd street Jules Hans, the Cultural Village will bring together the cultural and associative actors of Braine-l'Alleud. On the program: meetings with local associations, creative workshops, demonstrations, family shows, and moments of exchange with the volunteers and professionals who bring culture to life throughout the year. Le Bicentenaire of the Butte du Lion in the spotlight On the occasion of the Bicentennial of the Butte du Lion, several events will highlight the heritage and history of our municipality. Participate in particular in an origami workshop led by Michaël David, of the Lotus Rouge, the only professional origamist in Belgium, and take up the challenge "200 origamis for the Bicentenaire du Lion" by making a paper lion. Also, do not miss the exhibition "Butte du Lion, another look" by the Photo-Club Riva-Bella, which offers a new vision of this iconic place through the eyes of several photographers.
