Thank You Toots

More than a century has passed since the birth of the legendary jazz harmonica virtuoso Jean "Toots" Thielemans. In honor of this Belgian musical icon, the Ben Vanderweyden Quartet and Michaël Robberechts present a tribute to his life and work. 'Thank You, Toots!' is more than a concert; it concerns a unique multimedia project in which the music of Toots Thielemans is combined with authentic visual material and surprising anecdotes. Presentator Michaël Robberechts shares colorful stories and typical memories that give a deeper insight into the life of the jazz legend. The repertoire consists of original arrangements of a wide selection of well-known compositions, including the soundtracks of the films Turks Fruit and Midnight Cowboy, the television series Sesame Street, as well as Toots' own compositions such as For My Lady, the classic Bluesette, and other musical gems like Three Views or a Secret.
