Patricia is in her mid-thirties and still lives with her parents. She struggles with herself, but there is also little support at home. Her parents drown in their own worries: money problems, suspicion and conspiracy theories color their view of the world. Everyone is just muddling along. What is actually real? And what have we invented ourselves? In a world that we constantly interpret and reinvent, facts and fabrications entangle themselves into a collective swamp of assumptions. We parrot each other, seek confirmation with phrases like “Right!?”, “Get it?” and “Isn't it so?”, and believe that this is reality. But meanwhile the world, like a marble out of a trouser pocket, tumbles steadily towards the abyss. Three strong players on stage, one sharp look at a world that never seems to stand still completely. In this performance, Liesa Naert, Karlijn Sileghem and Peter De Graef, under the direction of Jan Sobrie, bring an intense and at the same time light-footed story about how people try to find a foothold. Between reality and imagination, between small everydayness and big questions, everything constantly slides in and out of focus. Sometimes painfully recognizable, sometimes surprisingly witty.
