Peter Vanlaet wrote a series of new songs over the past two years with a clear vision: an album that, according to him, has never been made before in Flanders. Blues is more than music; it is feeling. In songs like ‘Aan een onbekende ziel’ and ‘Alleen’ you hear the melancholy, while tracks like ‘Mijn dag die net begon’, ‘Huidhonger’ and ‘Maak van je shit’ combine hit classic blues riffs with personal stories. Inspired by Jeff Buckley, Tom Waits and other heroes, Peter brings this repertoire together with his five-piece band (with Wouter Berlaen on bass).
