After a past as a jazz pianist, Hendrik Lasure (schntzl, Bombataz, An Pierlé Quartet) found a new, quirky form in the Dutch-language song with his debut album Het Wiel. What started as a daring leap outside his musical comfort zone has grown into a deep conviction. In his erratic universe, Lasure explores the boundaries of the alternative life song, opting for an unpolished diction and a recognizable, everyday vernacular. Also on his new album De Val, which will be released in the autumn of 2026, he searches with a love for mystery for the edges of the common musical spectrum.
