Attention! Danger of sing-alongs with this energetic trio in the third week of Parkies 2026 in Sint-Niklaas. Singer-guitarist Pieter Schrevens, drummer Bert Van Damme (both ex-Humo's Rock Rally with Five Days) and keyboardist Toon Smet (ex-Bandits), bring the casual atmosphere of singing in the shower to the general public with a tsunami of sing-alongs from the 60s to today, under the motto: sing like you’re in the shower, dance like nobody’s watching . Hit The Shower gives you the same freedom as singing in the shower: no one judging, just you belting out at the top of your lungs as if no one can hear you. The musical trio overwhelms you with a waterfall of memorable sing-alongs from the 60s to today, until the whole venue (or park, in the case of Parkies, editor's note :-) ) turns into one big, steamy shower stall. What makes Wat Hit The Shower unique is how they sound like a stadium band despite being a compact trio. Their three-part harmonies and musical dexterity create a broad, energetic, and distinct sound. No backing tracks, no lip-syncing show. Everything is live, by real musicians with real instruments, and you can feel it! Sing along, dance along to a tsunami of sing-alongs. Sing like you’re in the shower, dance like nobody’s watching. The idea for Hit The Shower originated with singer-guitarist Pieter Schrevens and drummer Bert Van Damme, who previously conquered a stage spot together in Humo's Rock Rally with Five Days. When keyboardist Toon Smet, once a drummer for the Flemish pop band Bandits, joined, the puzzle pieces immediately clicked into place. Their shared mission? To musically demolish the barrier between band and audience, which they believe is pure fantasy, with a battering ram of hits and good vibes. And it works. Even though Hit The Shower has only existed for a year and a half, they already have over 100 shows under their belt. From cozy private concerts and corporate events to vibrant festivals: they get everyone singing and dancing everywhere. Location: Romain De Vidtspark, Sint-Niklaas, free admission. "Doors", bar and snacks open from 7 PM, program usually starts at 8 PM. Parkies 2026 takes place in Sint-Niklaas on July 7, 14, 21, and 28, and August 4, 11, and 18. The full program for Sint-Niklaas can be found at https://www.parkies.be/sint-niklaas Whether you come for the good music or just to have a nice chat under the trees with a nice cold drink and a snack: the Parkies concerts offer an experience that brings young and old together. Stop by and treat yourself to a real holiday evening. The 35th edition of the Parkies concerts is once again good for 112 performances by over 20 (top) artists this year. Despite the more difficult economic times, the organizers have once again succeeded, thanks to the indispensable cooperation of local authorities, volunteers, sponsors, and artists, in keeping 'the biggest smallest festival in Flanders' completely free. As a result, an estimated 300,000 people will be able to enjoy special concerts and musical evenings close to home again this summer, in a green environment provided with a snack and a drink.
