A virtually wordless performance There are two NEIGHBORS; two grumpy, bored, and lonely figures. They are almost shadows of themselves. They sit together, but they are never really together. Their days string together like a chain without luster. They rarely laugh, they only sigh. They grumble under their breath and count the ticking of the clock. The old, poorly tuned radio mutters, but no music plays. There is no laughter, no glimmer of light. The world is difficult, big, tiring. And that is how it has always been. But then. A strange spark, a clumsy gesture, a glimmer of something unknown. Love? Friendship? A neighbor they finally see? Color creeps in very carefully, a laugh is hesitantly practiced.
