Casino Wind Orchestra - Shakespeare in sound

Start the new cultural season together with our amazing house orchestra! William Shakespeare continues to inspire composers. In this concert, the Casino Wind Orchestra explores the musical world of the bard, where drama, poetry, magic, and human emotions are central. The program brings works that are directly or indirectly connected to Shakespeare's plays, from refined lyricism to powerful symphonic outbursts. Under the direction of conductor Jan Rypens , the highlight is the brand new Tweede Symfonie van John Mackey, The Isle Is Full of Noises, recently premiered worldwide and inspired by The Tempest . A contemporary and compelling concert in which literature and symphonic wind music reinforce each other intensely.
