Onze Poolse liberators

Tielt was liberated on September 8, 1944, by the Eerste Poolse Pantserdivisie led by Generaal Maczek. Quite a few monuments in the city center of Tielt remind us of that heroic deed. We go in search of the man behind the general: what was his starting point? How did he work and, above all, how did he experience this himself? Start: promptly at 10:00 AM at the liberation monument (Sherman tank) at the Generaal Maczekplein. The walk lasts 2 hours.
