On Sunday, June 7, Natuurpunt Pelt is organizing a fascinating dragonfly walk in the Hageven, guided by Jean-Claude Delforge . We will depart at 2:00 PM from the visitor center and finish around 5:00 PM. Het Hageven is a particularly rich dragonfly area. Every year, more than 40 species of dragonflies and damselflies are observed here — an impressive biodiversity for such an area. During the walk, we have a chance to discover various species, such as azure damselflies, beautiful demoiselles, black-tailed skimmers, and perhaps even some rarer species. We are, of course, hoping for radiant dragonfly weather, with sun and little wind, so that these beautiful insects show themselves well. But even if conditions are less than ideal, there is always plenty to experience and discover in this varied nature reserve. Everyone with an interest in nature is most welcome. Don't forget your binoculars and wear appropriate footwear. See you then in the Hageven!
