Falling kite walk

From the church of Aarsele, we take some slow roads to the place where the British plane crashed in 1971. From the edge of the Tielt plateau, we have a magnificent view of the so-called ‘Vlaamse Vallei’. We walk back to the Aarsele village center and visit the grave of pilot Pearson and the monument for the victims of the plane crash in the cemetery.
