Jan Jaap van der Wal, Amor Fati

Jan Jaap van der Wal celebrates his ten-year anniversary in Flanders with his biggest show to date: Amor Fati. He looks back on a decade as “Fleming in training”, during which he got to know Flanders as a beautiful but sometimes chaotic country — something he embraces with love. With his typical humor, he states that we eventually all go under anyway, whether it is through war, budget deficits, or a shrimp croquette at the seaside, and that we might as well do that with a smile. Over Jan Jaap Van der Wal has been a comedian for almost thirty years and has made four full-evening shows in Flanders since 2015, including the election conference Geen Stem. On television, he became known as a jury member in De Slimste Mens ter Wereld and as a presenter of De Ideale Wereld and Jan Jaap Op Zondag.
