The way The Sounds of The Tremeloes ft. Jeff Brown brings all the Tremeloes classics is as if they were the Tremeloes themselves. The Tremeloes was a British group that mainly had success in the sixties. They were originally the backing band of Brian Poole. From 1961, they had a series of hits in England, of which Do you love me reached the first place of the hit parade there in 1963. When things were no longer going well between the members of the backing band and their frontman, they each went their own way in 1965. Brian Poole quickly disappeared into anonymity. De Tremeloes (Alan Blakley, Len 'Chip' Hawkes, Rick West, and Dave Munden), however, were regularly found in the international hit parades. The Tremeloes began a half-decade of hits in 1967, starting with Here comes my baby, written by Cat Stevens. More successes followed, of which Silence is Golden (1967) and My little Lady (1968) were the biggest. The group was mainly characterized by unpretentious uptempo songs, such as Even the bad times are good (1967), Helule helule (1968), and Once on a Sunday morning (1969). In the opening act, Astra Sound plays and they bring pure live rock that fills every stage.” “A tight live rock band with experience and volume.” “Rock covers with power, brought by experienced musicians.” “Live rock that works — in cafes, clubs, and at festivals.” “Not a standard cover band. But a full rock sound.”.
