My Body as a Commodity - Anne-Laure Vandeputte

An energetic monologue in which text and beats merge into a confrontational and personal search for body, trauma, and imagination. My Body as a Commodity is a monologue-on-beats. An energetic, musical trip in which the Bruges theater maker Anne-Laure Vandeputte together with percussionist Andrew Van Ostade probes the boundaries of fiction and reflects on physical trauma. She meets a director who wants to talk about strong women. She meets a man who wonders if he appears in the show. She meets a sex worker in Berlin and bombards her as her ‘own personal Jesus’.
