Predikheerlijke Summer: Vanessa Matthys Quartet

Vanessa Matthys is an established name within the Belgian jazz scene. She obtained a Master Jazz Zang at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel (with David Linx) and built a strong reputation over the years as a singer, performer and pedagogue. She has worked with, among others, the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Dirk Brossé and Ivan Paduart, and is known for her warm sound, refined phrasing and strong musical personality. Together they bring a rich and accessible jazz repertoire, in which lyrical singing, subtle improvisation and strong musical interaction are central. Their concerts are layered both in content and emotion and appeal to a broad jazz audience. In 2026, the quartet's new album, The Secret Vault, will be released. This album contains new and carefully developed material that underscores the artistic maturity and individuality of the ensemble.
